On May 12, 2024, the Shaolin Temple of Canada celebrated the Buddha Bathing Festival, a sacred tradition honoring the birth of Gautama Buddha. During the festival, devotees and monks gathered together to perform the ritual of bathing a Buddha statue, symbolizing purification and renewal. The Dharma ceremony was led by Abbot Shi Yandi of the Shaolin Temple of Canada, with assistance from Master Shi Yanyan. The event included chanting of sutras, offering of flowers and incense, and communal prayers for peace and well-being. Attendees experienced a profound sense of unity and devotion, reflecting the deep cultural and spiritual significance of this auspicious occasion.
