Laba Festival
On the eight day of the twelfth month of the lunar calendar (Dec 30, 2022) Buddhists around the world celebrates Sakyamuni Buddha Enlightenment Day also known as Laba Festival.
Join Shaolin Temple of Canada and Master Shi Yandi to celebrate Laba Festival with Dharma ceremony of prayer and blessings, Shaolin Kung Fu Student performance and Laba porridge service.

2022 CLOTHING & ESSENTIAL NEEDS CHARITY DRIVE
We are grateful to accept gently used and new donations of clothing, towels, sheets, and other supplies. Please see list below. Shower supplies that were very recently opened and sampled once or twice are also accepted.
All clothing or used items must be cleaned/laundered prior to drop-off. We prefer to receive items in plastic bags, sanitized (if possible) and ready for drop-off.
Boxes will be place by the front door of Shaolin Temple of Canada at Unit 120 – 11300 No. 5 Road, Richmond BC. Please drop items off between the hours of 10am to 8pm.

Shaolin Temple of Canada cannot accept the following items:
- ANY FURNITURE: couches, sofas, box springs, mattresses, etc
- APPLIANCES: televisions, washers/dryers, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, stoves, etc. Virtually any kind of large appliances.
- OTHER: bicycles, linens, CDs, video/audio cassettes, BBQs, car seats, large strollers, cribs, swings, play yards, portable toilets, gas tanks, lawnmowers, carpets, tires, food, any type of fuel, paint, bank cheques.
